Today is the first post

Today is my first post on Blogspot. As you know I have been sending regular email posts for awhile now, just getting my feet wet in the blogging world. I am now ready to start in earnest. I took a while to decide exactly how I want to start and ya' know I think I am just going to start from today.

This past year was pretty hectic, lots has happened and I will probably revisit some of it from time to time but for now all you need to know is I have three grandkids. #1 Grandson lives in Iowa, my brand new grandson. Grandson #2. And I have new grandbaby coming at the end of next summer. Grandbaby #3. I am truly blessed. I thought I would never get to have grandbabies but my children and fruitfully multiplying and I am in Grandma heaven.
This is my #1 Grandson. He is a beautiful boy and I love him very much. He lives with my son, Offspring #2 and his beautiful Brazilian wife in Iowa. I never saw that coming! We went to visit for Halloween. #1 Grandson loves dressing up and didn't know exactly what he wanted to be. He had his entire Spiderman suit from last year, he had a brand new Batman mask, and he also saw this great Stormtrooper suit at the store. Choices, choices. He decided to go with the Spiderman. You can tell it is a much loved suit, the face mask is frayed and running. The day after Halloween he dressed up as the Stormtrooper.

It was pretty warm this Halloween in Iowa, over 70 degrees. We dressed for the cool NW weather and it was too hot so it seemed a little silly shopping for the cold weather but his teachers said they will send the kids outside to play as long as it is 20 degrees or warmer so we went looking for a good winter jacket. The jackets were different in Iowa I guess it really does get cold. They were thicker and snugger and longer and fluffier and fuller than here in the NW. We spent a couple of really good days looking around and enjoying a place that we had never been before.

Grandson #1 loves playing with legos, loves dressing up and going to school. He is growing up so fast. They have a really fun thing in Iowa called "Trunk or Treat." People would gather in a parking lot, usually a church, they would decorate their cars for Halloween and kids would come by and Trick or Treat! It was really fun!

Anyway, learning all the new tricks of this site has worn me out for the night.

You are dismissed.
